Pt. Shri Kant Sharma, popularly known as Balvyasji, was born in Gudha, a small village in Rajasthan, India on 17th April 1960. He was brought up and guided by his spiritual master Pt. Shiv Prasadji, his grandfather in Calcutta. His parents Dr. S.M.Sharma & Smt. Parmeshwari Devi lead a spiritual life too. He is devoted to Human Services with valuable support from his wife Smt. Ranjana Sharma, and inspiration from his three daughters Richa, Ekta & Stuti and son Chaitanya.

It was in the year 1973, at the age of 13 years, when he narrated "Shrimad Bhagavat Katha" to the people of Calcutta for the first time and since then he has been crowned with the title ‘BAL-VYAS’.

Pt. Shrikantji is a spiritually ambitious, dynamic young man and a well known scholar of Vedanta, whose lectures on Shrimad Bhagwat, Shri Shiv MahaPuran, Shri Ramcharit Manas and other Vedantic texts are organized regularly all over India thus inspiring millions to turn inwards were all the treasure is.

He has the charismatic power to guide his disciples to embark on a spiritual path to lead a peaceful, significant and more meaningful life. He regularly composes bhajans which are like honey to the ears. He is the founder and President of "Shrimad Bhagvat Gyan-Yagna Prachaar Samiti" an institution which aims to serve mankind under his able and holy guidance.

The essence of his discourses is in discovering the Krishna which lies within us all. He describes the silent language with which the master communicates with the entire creation. He discusses love and gratitude, and tells us the secret place where God is hiding.
He Often Says:

Find joy in the present. Maintaining a high level of joy will lead to better ways. Work on joy, no matter how clouded the earthly surroundings; for joy will inch deeply into the soul. Love one another. Follow a loving spiritual path. Find joy in each minute of life. Find joy in all efforts. Continue a spiritual path but enjoy the human life, for it is such a gift.

Move the soul by gathering strength from the light of God and harness it to protect both soul and spirit. Study the Ramayana, as it provides much peace and spiritual strength. A soul's reality is based upon the shine within it. Naturally, enjoyment will follow when souls are spiritually stable and content. Strive for peace.

Souls can be shining beacons. They must maintain their light--their sparkle. Souls must learn how to prevent other people from diminishing their light. Poojya Swamiji indeed loves to tread an unbeaten path and is creatively discovering new ways & means to take the message of Vedanta to one & all. He walks alone, loves to take challenges and devotes himself completely to whatever he has undertaken, propagating this thus as an ideal recipe for success and satisfaction.
